Wilpattu National Park is located in the northwest of Sri Lanka, about 180 km from Colombo. It is the largest and one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the country.
Wilpattu is best known for its Sri Lankan leopard population, but you may also spot elephants, sloth bears, deer, water buffalo, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds.
We provide half-day safaris, full-day safaris, and customized packages with experienced naturalist guides, comfortable safari jeeps, and pickup options.
Wilpattu can be visited year-round, but the dry season from May to September offers the best chances for wildlife sightings.
Each safari jeep comfortably accommodates 6 to 8 guests, ensuring plenty of space for viewing and photography.
Yes, all our safari packages can be arranged with entrance tickets, jeep hire, and guide fees included for your convenience.
We recommend carrying light clothing, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera, insect repellent, and plenty of drinking water.
Yes! Families with children are welcome. Our guides ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.
You can book directly through our website, WhatsApp, or by calling us. Advance booking is recommended, especially during weekends and holidays.
Light-colored cotton clothes that blend with the surroundings (shorts or long pants for safari).
Long trousers or a dress for evenings to avoid insects.
Comfortable walking shoes, sunblock, sunglasses, hat, and insect repellent (bring your preferred kind).
Light jacket or shawl (Dec–Jan can be cool).
Dust protection during the dry season.
Camera batteries, memory cards, and chargers (not available nearby).

We’re happy to let you know that airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged upon request
We currently do not provide accommodation directly. However, we can assist in arranging comfortable lodging at a local hotel in the village at your own expense.
Note: In the future, we plan to provide our own accommodation.
We recommend bringing camera equipment you are comfortable and familiar with to capture your experience.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!
We couldn’t have asked for a better safari organizer. Everything was arranged perfectly and the communication was excellent throughout the whole experience.
What impressed us the most was how much he genuinely cared about us even beyond the safari itself. He helped us with transportation, found the right buses, communicated with the drivers and made sure we knew exactly where to go. He even helped organize our journey back towards Colombo after the safari. We always felt that we had someone we could rely on.
The safari itself was a fantastic experience. Our driver did his best to find wildlife and gave us plenty of time to enjoy and photograph the animals without rushing us. Wilpattu is absolutely beautiful and experiencing it this way was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka.
Everything was transparent, friendly and professional, and we never felt like we were being treated simply as tourists to make money from. It felt much more personal than that.

We went on a superb safari in August 2025 with Wilpattu Leopard Gate. My wife and I were given a very exciting and informative private tour of Wilpattu National Park during which we were able to see some of the reserve’s most magnificent animals including not only the Asian elephant tusker but also the leopard, sloth bear and many, many more. Wilpattu Leopard Gate will take you on a safari to remember! It really was quite amazing.
